We’ve got News!
We are really excited to share with you the news about our upcoming brick and mortar location! We will be opening a café in the next couple of months at 828 Bay Street, just north of College St.
Our menu will feature many of the same dishes we have served at the East York Farmer’s Market and our pop-ups, and will have some new items as well.
Our inspiration continues to be the city of Bombay, also known as Mumbai. They say that Mumbai is the city, but Bombay is the emotion. At the heart of Bombay are the people – the hustling, bustling city streets and a passion for India and its culture. The Irani cafés hearken back to a bygone era when the faded elegance of simple storefronts attracted all measures of Indian life. Slowly turning ceiling fans breathed life into the students, lawyers, writers, taxi-wallas, and businessmen who sipped tea or dined next to walls adorned with sepia toned family portraits. With Bombay Street Food, we hope to reintroduce to North America all of the charm and rustic grace of Bombay to a new audience.
